The next Lively Plant Fair, fair focussing on plants and gardens will be held on Sunday, May 4th, 2008 at Ford House, Bridgetown, as part of the Autumn Festival of Country Gardens.

The fair, in its fourth year, is held on the river-flat adjacent to the Blackwood River in the grounds of Ford House. On sale will be garden related products, plants, new tools and artefacts. The 40+ stalls will be unique, stylish and attractive. Some of the stallholders include Melville Rose Farm, Rainbow Daylilies and MacAtool Garden Tools.

The Lively Plant Fair will run from 10.00am to 3.00pm .

During the Last Fair in 2007, over 1000 people attended from all over the state.

The Lively Plant Fair is a delightful opportunity to visit a historic garden, mingle with many garden and plant specialists and enjoy beautiful, homemade food and cakes at the Tongue & Groove Café and within the grounds. It is also worth visiting some of the many wonderful local gardens which will be open to the public during that weekend.

It is an idyllic location, with plenty of room for each stall to display their wares.
