Description: A secluded luxury hideaway with its own private entrance and facilities. The warm sheoak flooring welcomes each guest as they step inside. Glowing rich autumnal colours are  highlighted. Two sets of French doors open out onto a terrace overlooking the Blackwood River and the mighty oak and centuries old Cypress.  Mood lighting and the reverse cycle air-conditioning  creates a wonderful mood and atmosphere. Soak in the two person spa, dry using towels from a heated towel rail. Wrap in the fluffy towelling robe and curl up on the deep sofa, cosseted amongst the wall to wall cookery books, and read, watch TV, cable TV, video or just romance away the time with each-other.

Features: en-suite and spa, air-conditioning, hundreds of cookery books, refrigerator, tea and coffee, wine glasses, heated towel rail, hair dryer, towelling robes, cooking chandelier, sheoak floors, stereo system, Foxtel cable TV, video, private entrance, French doors opening out onto a wisteria draped terrace, river views, mood lighting,  deep sofa and chairs.

History: The original cookhouse that was built on this site in 1896, just to the west of Ford House. It collapsed in 1958, apart from the chimney which was removed in about 1984. In 1990, a storage room and carport was built on the site and the wisteria planted. This area fell into disuse by the mid-90s.  In June 2002, Jenny and Ken had one of those rare one-day holidays where you dream and soar. They came home with plans in their head, and had the plans submitted to the Council the next day. The main concept was the ability to watch a film or TV from a sofa, spa or bed. Come see if this was achieved!!
