The spa is hidden away behind the pressed tin shutters, which can be opened to reveal .........  Glowing rich polished French colours are  highlighted with the century old carved French oak bed. Mood lighting and the reverse cycle air-conditioning  creates a wonderful mood and atmosphere. Soak in the two person spa, dry using towels from a heated towel rail. Wrap in the fluffy towelling robe and then curl up, cosseted amongst cushions and read, watch LCD TV and DVD, track stars across the night sky or just romance away the time with each-other.

History: When we first came to Ford House over 11 years ago, we thought it was perfect, with nothing more to add. Over time we have grown from a B&B for four persons, to a Retreat for 20. Realising that perfection needs to be worked at, our latest room, Delaportes is a culmination all the best suggestions from our guests, and the many "discussions" between Jenny and Ken. Delaportes is  named after one of the surnames of our children, and is the epitome of the old world charm of yesteryear. The Romanian shutters with their bespoke handles are a century old, and they impose their stamp on the whole room, with its chandeliers, and pressed tin.
